When you visit this website, Pixelbar GmbH automatically stores technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page visited, the referring page, browser and operating system. This data is used to run the website securely and to analyse errors, and is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for these purposes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Contact by email and contact form
The contact form opens your own email program; the website itself does not store any data in the process. When you write to us, we process your details (name, email address, phone number if provided, and your message) only to answer your enquiry and to prepare a booking (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the data once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless we are legally required to keep it.
4. Availability calendar and online booking (Smoobu)
The availability calendar and booking form on the “Contact & booking” page are provided by the Smoobu booking system and embedded directly from it. When this page is displayed, your IP address is sent to Smoobu. If you book, Smoobu processes your booking, contact and payment details on our behalf in order to carry out the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with Smoobu. More information: Smoobu privacy policy.
5. Visitor statistics (Matomo) – only with your consent
Only if you choose “Allow statistics” in the notice do we use the open-source software Matomo to record which pages are used and how. Matomo runs on a server of our web service provider Pixelbar GmbH, Klebankgasse 16, B-4700 Eupen (see section 2), at metrics.anyonecanweb.be. Your IP address, details about your browser and device and the pages you visit are processed there, and cookies are set (names starting with “_pk_”, lifetime up to 13 months). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 10/2 of the Belgian Data Protection Act of 30 July 2018). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
6. Google map – only after you click
The map on the “Contact & booking” page is only loaded when you click “Load Google map”. Your IP address and details about your browser are then sent to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; a transfer to the USA is possible. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
7. Links to social networks
The Facebook and Instagram icons are plain links. No data is transferred until you click the link and open the platform; its own privacy rules then apply.
8. Storage in your browser
We store your choice about visitor statistics in your browser’s local storage (entry “cp-consent-v1”) so that the notice doesn’t appear on every page. We ask again after 6 months.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Just write to hello@chaletpanoranna.be.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
